OMG! A representative from Medx called me back and misrepresented herself saying, "I am with Los Alamitos Colorectal Surgerical".  I immediately corrected her and told her she was misrepresenting herself as she is with Medx.  She tried to correct herself and I told her again she was misrepresenting herself.  I told her I wrote a Yelp review and they can read about it here.

In Lake Helen, Florida, Jones built a $75 million corporate headquarters, which incorporated sound stages, film editing rooms and two homes. His privately held company had an estimated reported annual income of $300 million and was regarded as the largest manufacturer of exercise machines in the world. Physique legends John Grimek, Steve Reeves, Bill Pearl, Sergio Oliva, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Franco Columbu, Boyer Coe, Mike and Ray Mentzer and Casey Visator made their pilgrimage to meet the cantankerous tycoon and to train on Nautilus equipment.

The MedX Lumbar Extension Machine has been extensively researched and studied at the University of Florida. Tests show remarkable increases in lasting strength with the use of this equipment. In fact, recently published scientific research dramatically validates the efficacy of MedX rehabilitation of chronic low back pain. A study published in the January 1999 edition of the Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation showed that 35 or 38 patients recommended for spinal surgery were able to forego the surgery following 21 MedX sessions over a 10 to 12-week span. Although the study does not prove that increased strength prevents surgery, it does suggest that certain people can avoid surgery with proper spinal exercise therapy.
MedX is the only equipment company with a short one foot weight stroke. Most companies’ weight stroke is two or more feet. What that means is that the weight stack movement of only one foot on a full-range repetition is safer and smoother than the competition with a longer weight stroke. Another reason the shorter weight stroke is important is that if you have 120 pounds on the one foot weight stroke machine, then that means you are moving 120 pounds. On the other hand, if you have 120 pounds on a two foot weight stroke machine, then you are really lifting about 240 pounds depending on the machine. That also means that if you increase the weight by two pounds on a one foot machine, you really are increasing it by two pounds, whereas on a two foot machine you are raising it by five pounds which equates to a 10 pound increase.

McSweeney is mad at Republicans in Illinois for failing to take Jones seriously at every turn: They said nothing as he gathered signatures to run, they didn’t challenge the signatures when he submitted them, and they didn’t try to run an alternative write-in candidate in the primary. Then, just two weeks ago, they missed an important filing deadline to get a third-party candidate on the ballot.

The Nautilus machines and the company he formed to sell them made Jones a multimillionaire and landed him on the Forbes list of the 400 richest people. At one point, financial analysts estimated that Nautilus was grossing $400 million annually. He sold Nautilus Inc. in 1986 for $23 million. He also sold MedX Corporation in 1996 and then retired.[4]
MedX applied the knowledge gained from its medical machines to the design of a full line of exercise-only machines. These machines incorporated MedX’s patented compound weight stack which produces less friction and enables several hundred levels of available resistance in increments of 2ft-lbs. This feature reduces user strain and, for the first time, made it possible for individuals to select the exact level of resistance required regardless of their strength.

During that time, whores, gunfighters, thieves and general riff-raff of every sort migrated to Seminole. The jail could not hope to hold them, so they were chained like animals to pieces of pipe driven into the ground. Everyone with common sense carried a gun and they were often used. My father owned a double-barrel, ten-gauge shotgun pistol the Chief of Police had taken from a hoodlum to give to him. In my early teens, the same Chief of Police called me to his office to issue me a permit to carry a concealed weapon. He said, 'I know you have a pistol. I know you need it. and in the likely event you have to use it, it will be better if it's legal.'
Arthur Allen Jones (November 22, 1926 – August 28, 2007) was the founder of Nautilus, Inc. and MedX, Inc. and the inventor of the Nautilus exercise machines, including the Nautilus pullover, which was first sold in 1970.[1] Jones was a pioneer in the field of physical exercise i.e. weight and strength training.[2][3] He was born in Arkansas, and grew up in Seminole, Oklahoma.
Nobody else ran as a Republican in the primary because politics is a results-oriented business and the chance of a Republican winning are slim. The boundaries were drawn by Democrats to elect a Democrat. Rep. Dan Lipinski, the incumbent, will face Marie Newman in the Democratic primary, and one of those two will win on Nov. 6. There are other Democratic strongholds in the Chicago area featuring a lone Republican. It can be a Maytag repairman-like assignment.

Running Medaview software. Equipment is in very good condition. Provides resistance over a full range of isolated lumbar and cervical motion, or over a selected limited range. Isometric testing may occur every 3° within a patient’s range of motion MedX software plots a strength curve to compare the patient’s strength and range of motion to established norms. Stored energy can be assessed and factored out at each angle tested.

Underlying the inaction against Jones is a widespread belief that neither he — nor any Republican — has a chance of winning against Lipinski in November in the solidly Democratic district. Other Republicans have pointed to partisan gerrymandering as a barrier to recruiting viable GOP candidates in the 3rd District. Still, the party needed only 603 signatures to run someone against Jones in the first place and U.S. law does not require candidates to live in the congressional district for which they are running.
