Wes grew up in Moorhead, Minnesota where he attended Moorhead Senior High School in the graduating class of 2010. After he attended and graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with his Bachelors of Arts in Biology in 2014, he attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He graduated with his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree in 2017.
Patients are seated comfortably in the MedX cervical or lumbar machine. In the cervical machine, the muscles in the torso are restrained so that only the muscles in the neck are targeted. Because the cervical muscles in the neck must continually support the weight of the head, weak muscles can lead to headache, neck pain and poor posture mechanics. In the lumbar machine, the muscles in the abdomen, hips and legs are restrained so that only the muscles in the low back are targeted. Weak lumbar muscles can be responsible for back pain, leg pain, stiffness and many other debilitating complaints. The exercises performed in the Med-X cervical and lumbar machines are slow, gentle, take just a few minutes to complete and are computer monitored.

Mike is certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (The McKenzie Method), which focuses on specific exercises to eliminate pain and stiffness while restoring normal function. This method is highly researched and can help patients obtain full recovery through patient education and self-treatment. Mike also utilizes hands-on methods, therapeutic exercises, taping and a variety of other techniques to assist patients.

Many companies have "Low Back" exercise machines that claim to strengthen the back. Clinical research has proven that these machines actually strengthen the hamstrings and gluteus muscles. A controlled study done by the University of Florida showed that people who worked out on two different "Low Back Machines" for 12 weeks actually gained no strength at all in their lumbar extensor muscles, although their hamstring and gluteus muscles did improve significantly.
The MedX line also includes the Cervical Extension, Rotary Neck and Rotary Torso, and Knee/Hamstring machines, which are used to produce specific and accurate tests of functional ability and as a tool in rehabilitative exercise. In addition to the medical exercise equipment that we are adding to the studio, MedX also offers a line of exercise machines which we have utilized since we opened in 2001, which incorporate their patented compound weight stack which produces less friction and enables several hundred levels of available resistance in increments of 2ft-lbs.
Hanson is 35 and an attorney in La Grange, a suburb of Chicago. His campaign website promises he’s running “the hardest working, most motivated, and sincerest write-in campaign ever launched for a seat in the United States House of Representatives.” While that might not be a measurable claim, he definitely has the only write-in campaign against an elderly racist running for Congress in Illinois.

Arthur Allen Jones (November 22, 1926 – August 28, 2007) was the founder of Nautilus, Inc. and MedX, Inc. and the inventor of the Nautilus exercise machines, including the Nautilus pullover, which was first sold in 1970.[1] Jones was a pioneer in the field of physical exercise i.e. weight and strength training.[2][3] He was born in Arkansas, and grew up in Seminole, Oklahoma.

A power wheelchair is a wheelchair that is propelled by an electric motor rather than manual power.  Motorized wheelchairs are powered with rechargeable batteries and the user will control the mobility with a joystick.  The chair will move in the direction that the joystick is pointed.  Motorized wheelchairs are useful for those that may not be able to manually propel themselves or who may need to travel longer distances.

MedX treats and reduces chronic back pain and dysfunction through specific spinal strengthening exercises using the MedX™ Lumbar and Cervical Extension Machines. Pressure on the spinal column causes pressure on nerve roots, which in turn, causes pain. MedX focuses on increasing strength, decreasing pressure on spine and nerve roots, and ultimately decreasing your pain.
Jonathan Greenblatt, the chief executive of the Anti-Defamation League, said Mr. Jones was just one of several extremists running for public office this year. He pointed to Paul Nehlen, whose primary bid against the House speaker, Paul D. Ryan, was denounced by the Wisconsin Republican Party last month, and Joe Arpaio, the immigration hard-liner pardoned by President Trump, who said in January that he was running for United States Senate in Arizona.
MedX medical equipment is recognized as the "Gold Standard" for treating and reducing chronic back pain and dysfunction through specific spinal strengthening. Weakness of the musculature of the spine can lead to many conditions such as herniated discs, facet syndrome, and degenerative joint disease. It is recommended for post-surgical rehabilitation, the average "sprain/strain" injury, and anyone suffering from chronic or acute low back and neck pain.
The Universities of Florida and San Diego as well as various orthopedic clinics around the world have published compelling research showing specific spinal strengthening exercises using the MedX™ Lumbar and Cervical Extension Machines help people get better—even after multiple failed attempts at other forms of treatment. With more than 40 published articles in peer-reviewed journals, the proof lies in both this research and the testimonials of thousands of people around the world who have found relief from their pain through MedX™ rehabilitation.
Isometric testing may occur every 3 degrees within the patient’s range of motion. During the test, the software plots a strength curve that allows a comparison of the patient’s strength and range of motion to age and gender matched norms. It also has the ability to detect a lack of reasonable effort by the patient. Various reports can be generated for individual patients and selected patients groups or categories for outcome tracking purposes.
Rehabilitation providers worldwide have experienced outstanding outcomes using the MedX Lumbar and Cervical Extension Machines. This is attributed to medical evidence that shows that the majority of patients with chronic spinal pain are significantly "deconditioned". Weakness of the musculature of the spine can lead to many conditions such as herniated discs, facet syndrome, and degenerative joint disease. A strong spine provides a strong foundation that allows for healthy spaces between the vertebrae, which helps prevent spinal compression.

Additional publications included the results of Jones's studies on the differing responses of muscular structures exposed to varying amounts of exercise throughout limited and unlimited range of motion. Jones labeled these responses as type S response for specific and type G for general. He was among the first researchers to experiment with exclusively eccentric training on test subjects and among the first to suggest the superiority and importance of eccentric training for strength. He was the inventor of infimetric and akinetic exercise equipment. He was the first exercise machine designer to utilize cams, as opposed to pulleys, in exercise machines, making possible for the first time resistance that varied along the force curves generated by human muscular structures[citation needed].

Still, Jones’ nomination has been an enormous embarrassment to the party — and to state party Chairman Tim Schneider — for months. When Schneider was faced with a formidable challenge to his chairmanship in May, some Republicans — including state Rep. Jeanne Ives, who ran unsuccessfully against Rauner in the primary — cited Jones’ candidacy as a reason to break from Schneider’s leadership. Schneider ended up surviving his challenge by bringing on his challenger as a co-chairman.
