Arthur Jones is the legendary founder and developer of Nautilus exercise equipment. He pioneered the concept of high intensity, joint specific strength training and was the first to develop machines dedicated to each area of the body. He proved, through exhaustive research, that it is the most effective way to get results in the shortest period of time. When he evaluated the back extension machine, he found it did not do an adequate job of strengthening the back muscles. In 1972 he began what was to be fourteen years of research and development with the goal of designing the first meaningful tools for testing spinal function, including strength, muscular endurance, and ranges of motion. In 1986, he founded the MedX Corporation and after years of development and testing, validated by independent research teams at the University of Florida, perfected the medical lumbar extension machine. He subsequently developed the cervical extension machine providing the medical community with the first tools capable of producing specific and accurate tests of functional ability, as well as the finest source of rehabilitative exercise. These machines have helped hundreds of thousands of people around the world eliminate their back and neck pain. Arthur Jones devoted his life to educating people about the proper way to exercise and designing equipment best suited to his training methods.

McSweeney is mad at Republicans in Illinois for failing to take Jones seriously at every turn: They said nothing as he gathered signatures to run, they didn’t challenge the signatures when he submitted them, and they didn’t try to run an alternative write-in candidate in the primary. Then, just two weeks ago, they missed an important filing deadline to get a third-party candidate on the ballot.
Hanson is 35 and an attorney in La Grange, a suburb of Chicago. His campaign website promises he’s running “the hardest working, most motivated, and sincerest write-in campaign ever launched for a seat in the United States House of Representatives.” While that might not be a measurable claim, he definitely has the only write-in campaign against an elderly racist running for Congress in Illinois.
Transporting work comp patients to and from medical visits, PT, IMEs, hearings and the like is a big business – big for worker’s comp that is. At first blush, it looks like a perfect opportunity for Lyft and Uber (L/U)- they’ve got a gazillion drivers everywhere, a great service model, and they are much less expensive than the traditional work comp transportation services. In fact, […]

The party has responded largely by either condemning and attempting to disavow far-right candidates while arguing that somewhere, a Democrat is doing something even more dastardly (praising anti-Semitic Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, for example). Or they maintain complete radio silence about candidates who claim the party’s mantle despite openly embracing the worst of the alt-right.

While Jones claims not to be a current Nazi, his racist bona fides are hardly in question. His campaign website, which hasn’t been updated since his 2015 run and which we’re not going to bother linking to, has a section that questions the Holocaust, referring to it in sneer quotes and as a “racket.” (Separately, it refers to the Confederate flag as “a symbol of White pride and White resistance.”) According to the Anti Defamation League, Jones is the founder and possibly sole member, besides his wife, of the “America First Committee,” which has operated as part of a racist alliance called the Nationalist Front. The last time I saw him speak was in Pikeville, KY, at a Nationalist Front conference where he fulminated about Jews, gay people, and pretty much every other subject you’d expect, at startling volumes and for a truly astounding length of time.

In January 2018, he became the only Republican candidate for Illinois's 3rd congressional district, despite that party's repeated disapproval of him gaining this position, as well as the controversy around him being a candidate.[13][14]. Despite the GOP disavowing, 26.5 percent of voters still voted for him in the general election on November 6, 2018, as he lost by 47 points.
MedX equipment are significant tools specifically designed to help strengthen your the muscles of the back and neck responsible for stabilizing the joints. MedX is one of the tools Wright Physical Therapy uses to answer the question, why does my back or neck pain return? Research demonstrates it often is associated with weak back or neck muscles deep in the spine. MedX skillfully applied with other therapeutic techniques is an excellent and meaningful solution for those with back or neck pain.
Jones traveled and 'adventured' widely, occasionally with friend and fellow adventurer Roy Pinney (Jones's cameraman for a syndicated TV series called Wild Cargo), setting up camp for two years or so at a time in different places such as Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and Mexico City. His motto was "younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles."[This quote needs a citation] Jones's Lake Helen, Florida, Nautilus building was the home of Gomek, an 18-foot salt water crocodile that Jones was trying to grow to world record size. He was also an aficionado of poisonous spiders and reptiles, a large collection of which was also housed in the Nautilus building. He ran a business that involved the importation of a variety of wild animals, ranging from tropical fish to snakes, parrots and monkeys. His daughter had a full-grown black panther that had free run of the house and even slept with her.[citation needed] He once retrofitted several of his jumbo jets in order to transport 63 baby elephants, that had been orphaned in Africa, to his Jumbo Lair compound in Florida. Jones filmed the entire operation for television and entitled it Operation Elephant.

During his undergraduate work, Kirk had a growing passion to treat not only athletes, but the whole population. He went on to enroll in the University of Mary’s graduate program where he earned a Masters of Physical Therapy. In London, Ontario, Kirk gained a spine certification in the McKenzie Method (Cert. MDT). His latest certification, a manual therapy certification, is in Mulligan Concept (MDT). Kirk has traveled throughout the country teaching Manual Therapy continuing education courses. In addition to serving the community, Kirk enjoys family time with his southern belle, Savannah, and 3 children. Outside of work, Kirk enjoys canoeing, fishing, pickleball and board games.

Healthcare communication patterns are trending towards smartphone use and further away from traditional methods such as pager-to-phone interactions. Mobile Encrypted Data Xchange or MEDX not only provides a secure alternative to these core processes, but also includes the core features desired by healthcare personnel to improve speed and efficiency when providing patient care.
Cams on strength training equipment need to support the strength curves in the body. The cams on most equipment are incorrect in this regard. On the MedX Lumbar Extension machine, for example, the cam/strength curve ratio is 1.4 to 1. That means that a normal lumbar muscle should be 1.4 times stronger in the flexed position than in the extended position. For example, if we put 100 pounds on the machine, then at the beginning of the movement you would be pushing 100 pounds. As you moved through the full range of motion to the fully extended position, the cam would be moving so that the weight would continue to lighten so that at the end of the movement that 100 pounds would have smoothly lightened to 71.4 pounds. Each muscle has a different natural strength curve so each piece of equipment should have a different cam. For example, if you put 140 pounds on the Leg Extension machine it would start at 120 pounds in the fully flexed position, increase to 150 pounds within the first fifty degrees, and then it would decrease to less than 50 pounds in the fully extended position. Each machine needs to be properly calibrated and designed to accommodate the muscle group it is targeting.
Our team of physicians are specialty trained in the area of physical medicine and rehabilitation. Patients are first evaluated by a doctor before receiving their individualized rehabilitation care plan, unless otherwise indicated. Jones often prided himself on being a generalist, something which he describes as a move away from the stubbornness and short-sightedness of 'specialists'. He attributed this in part to his upbringing in a family of physicians, as he found their attitudes toward medicine revolved around what they were taught and nothing else. One of his favorite quotes was Robert A. Heinlein's "specialization is for insects." He often cited that his observations gained from flying allowed him to understand the requirements for developing exercise machines. He believed in the competent man, that "a man should be able to put food on the table, build a house, tan a hide and deliver a baby."[This quote needs a citation]

Rehabilitation providers worldwide have experienced outstanding outcomes using the MedX Lumbar and Cervical Extension Machines. This is attributed to medical evidence that shows that the majority of patients with chronic spinal pain are significantly “deconditioned”. Weakness of the musculature of the spine can lead to many conditions such as herniated discs, facet syndrome, and degenerative joint disease. A strong spine provides a strong foundation that allows for healthy spaces between the vertebrae, which helps prevent spinal compression.”

In a June 26 post on a county party website, SaveHoke.com, Hal Nunn, county party chair, stated: “The Hoke County Republican Party agrees with NCGOP Chairman Robin Hayes comments on the Republican candidate for NC House 48 race and adds that this person’s actions and comments, past/present, are completely disturbing, and we will not support a candidate with such racist, misogynistic, anti-Semitic and anti-military views.”
In the wake of Trump’s “very fine people on both sides” comments after Charlottesville, and with his outward support of Corey Stewart and silence on other extremist candidates, and with what feels like more and more Republican candidates with connections to racist and anti-Semitic ideas and figures emerging by the day, that idea isn’t likely to go away.
A graduate of Idaho State University’s 1995 Masters of Physical Therapy program, Paul has spent the last 18 years sharpening his skills as a therapist. Having practiced in hospitals (Pocatello, ID; Elko, NV; Bullhead City, AZ), a Worker’s Compensation specialty clinic (Tempe, AZ), and other sports medicine facilities have allowed for a broad exposure to the practice of physical therapy. His early passion for sports brought him from Southern California to Caldwell and the College of Idaho.
Injury can also be caused by doing the wrong type of exercises. Exercise done with great force, strain not only the muscles, but the joints and the connective tissue. In one single instant of great force one can sustain an injury that will heal. Those injuries often come back to haunt you. The injured joint is never quite the same as it was before the injury.
Jones, who campaigned for the same seat in the 2016 primary, was removed from the ballot that year after the Illinois Republican Party found paperwork errors and filed a successful objection to his candidacy with the state Board of Elections. The GOP tried to do the same this election cycle, but Jones had cleaned up his paperwork. He also appears to have kept a low profile, collecting signatures to meet eligibility requirements by going door-to-door and then waiting until the Dec. 4, 2017, deadline to file. If only others had noticed.

The Jewish lobby has Donald Trump locked up. I don’t think the man realizes how naive he appears to the rest of the world. He’s nothing but a puppet in their hands. And we were foolish enough to send this naive, Jew-loving fool into the White House. I’m embarrassed that I voted for him. I’m sorry I voted for him. If I could take the vote back, I would in a minute.

Ben has known all his life that he wanted to be a physical therapist. When he was in 3rd grade he had a minor knee injury that caused him to be sidelined in his favorite sport, football. After being treated by an excellent local Physical Therapist, he was able to return to the sport he loved. Ben then knew that he wanted to become a Physical Therapist so that he too could return people to the activities they enjoy.

Not to mention that racism is inherently anathema to minority votes. A critical rise in black turnout in Alabama’s Senate special election helped push Democrat Doug Jones over controversial Republican Roy Moore. One activist told the Atlantic that black voters were responding to “the resurgence of this white conservative overtly racist rhetoric.” Bad Republican candidates also depress Republican voting. In that Alabama election, thousands of voters — including many who supported Donald Trump in 2016 — simply didn’t show up.

Racial animus helped fuel the rise of Donald Trump. Since the end of the civil rights movement and under Republican strategist Lee Atwater’s “Southern strategy” that used racism as an unstated cudgel against Democrats, the Republican Party itself has played a welcoming host to racial tensions and fears. Simultaneously, it has depicted itself, as conservative columnist Jeff Jacoby put it in 2012, as “the party of color-blind equality and “a party that doesn’t think with its skin.”

This equipment effectively stabilizes the torso to achieve muscle isolation. The computerized equipment provides a comparison of the patient's strength and range of motion (ROM) to age and gender matched norms. A typical MedX program is 2 times a week for 4 weeks. It consists of an initial test, 3 1/2 weeks of training, and then a progress test which is compared to the initial test. Upon completion of the MedX program, all patients are instructed on exercise programs to keep their back and/or neck strong. Patients are also offered a reduced price membership to Carroll Fitness World and a space (if wanted) on our "MedX Wall of Fame."

Because we offer individualized exercise programs, a comfortable & caring atmosphere, one on one patient focused sessions, free 15-minute consultations, 45-minute treatment sessions, private treatment rooms, a full fitness facility and a one-month free membership to MedX Fitness Facility upon discharge from physical therapy to help patient transition to an independent exercise program.
MedX medical equipment is recognized as the "Gold Standard" for treating and reducing chronic back pain and dysfunction through specific spinal strengthening. Weakness of the musculature of the spine can lead to many conditions such as herniated discs, facet syndrome, and degenerative joint disease. It is recommended for post-surgical rehabilitation, the average "sprain/strain" injury, and anyone suffering from chronic or acute low back and neck pain.

Returning to Slidell, Louisiana, Arthur borrowed $2,500 from his half sister to fund the fabrication of a resistance exercise machine he was attempting to build in the family's one-car garage. Arthur's 16-year-old son, Gary, designed an off-centered cam as part of the prototype, whose purpuose was to cause the resistance of the exercise to vary in intensity as the user worked the lever arm of the apparatus throughout it's full range of motion.
First developed over 30 years ago, PBM uses a specific type of light to penetrate the skin’s surface and underlying tissues to stimulate the body’s natural repair processes. The result is faster healing and reduced pain, swelling and inflammation.

Jones repeatedly maintained that his IQ was beyond measure and on par with the Wright brothers and Dr Albert Einstein. He claimed to have read his father's entire medical library, at least twice, before age 12, and every book in the Seminole Public Library, by age 14. With the desire to conquer the world, Arthur left school in the ninth grade and stated,

“Arthur Jones is not a real Republican — he is a Nazi whose disgusting, bigoted views have no place in our nation’s discourse,” Tim Schneider, the Illinois Republican Party chairman, said in a statement. He said the party had urged voters “to skip over his name when they go to the polls” and moving forward planned on “vehemently opposing Jones with real campaign dollars.”
