Ben attended the University of North Dakota (UND) where he received his bachelor’s degree in Pre-Physical Therapy with a Minor in Psychology. He then continued on to The UND’s School of Medicine and Health Science where he received his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree. Ben’s thirst for knowledge did not stop with his graduation. He has attended numerous continuing education courses and classes and is now certified in McKenzie Diagnosis and Therapy and is a Certified Orthopedic Specialist. Less than 2% of all therapists in the country have these certifications. Ben is excited to help his patients recover from their injuries and return to their daily lives without pain or limitations.
A course of MedX treatment includes two types of testing. The first test is called the “Static Test” and the second is the “Dynamic Test”. The Static Test requires pushing backwards at seven different angles. The Dynamic Test requires pushing a specified weight repeatedly through a range of motion. The MedX machine itself will neither make you move where you hurt nor will it make you push harder than you feel comfortable. You will have total control of your effort. In other words, you move the machine – the machine does not move you.
MedX has between 0 and 5% friction in it while traditional equipment has up to 30%. What that means to you is, if you had 100 pounds on a machine with 2% friction, you would be pushing 102 pounds during the positive phase of the movement and resisting 98 pounds during the negative phase. This is a four pound difference between the positive and negative phases. On traditional equipment, with 30% friction, that 100 pounds turns into you having to push 130 pounds during the positive phase and resisting 70 pounds during the negative phase. That’s a difference of 60 pounds! With that kind of difference, your muscles have ample opportunity to recover during the negative phase, which means that you will be unable to effectively fatigue the muscles and subsequently will not get the most benefit from your workout. The amount of friction plays a vital role in the process of improving your strength and changing the shape of your body.
MEDEX provides effective Workers' Compensation cost containment services for California employers and claims administrators. Our programs have proven to drastically reduce Workers' Compensation related high costs for our employer clients, while offering a simplified resolution to the often complicated process. Most importantly, MEDEX will allow the employer maximum control with our customized programs.
Patients are able to test and train on this equipment with the joints isolated and surrounding musculature in biomechanically correct positions and at speeds that replicate function. This technologically advanced system also permits the earliest possible post-operative intervention to decrease joint effusion (increase fluid), increase range of motion, and develop strength.

Kevin was raised in Yakima, WA. He attended Brigham Young University-Idaho where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology and his associates in Physical Therapy Assisting. Kevin has always enjoyed exercising and it was while working on his Exercise Physiology degree he discovered his interest in understanding the mechanics of the body and Physical Therapy. He is excited to be at Rehab Authority and further that understanding. In his free time Kevin enjoys going on hikes with his wife, playing disc golf, taking his dog on runs, and creating his own board games.

The MedX cervical extension machine is similar to the MedX lumbar machine in that it isolates the deep musculature that normally stabilizes the cervical spine. Because the cervical spine must support the weight of the head, weakness in this area often leads to chronic neck pain and headaches especially those headaches that start at the base of the skull and radiate around the front of the head and are often felt behind the eyes. MedX rehabilitation is so effective because it truly isolates and strengthens specific areas of the cervical spine. By training specific movements and not allowing abnormal compensations the patient not only regains needed strength, but also learns to move their spine properly again.

More important, candidates like Walker and Jones threaten to further inculcate the idea that the Republican Party is inherently susceptible to candidates who espouse racist and anti-Semitic ideas. The Republican Party is, after all, both the party of Lincoln, and the party of Richard Nixon and Lee Atwater’s Southern strategy aimed at getting racists on board without, in Atwater’s own words, “saying, ‘nigger, nigger, nigger.’” And it’s also the party of the nation’s most prominent birther, who rode to the White House on a wave of what researchers in December 2017 called “racial resentment.”
Provides resistance over a full range of isolated lumbar and cervical motion, or over a selected limited range. Isometric testing may occur every 3° within a patient’s range of motion MedX software plots a strength curve to compare the patient’s strength and range of motion to established norms. Stored energy can be assessed and factored out at each angle tested. Needs new software.
McSweeney’s comments come just days after the filing deadline passed for qualifying a third-party candidate for the general election — which could have provided a safe harbor for Illinois Republican votes. Prior to that, the party had also failed to recruit a candidate to challenge Jones in the primary election, failed to knock him off the primary ballot and wasn’t able to field a write-in candidate against him in the primary.
