Cervical Extension (right): The MedX Cervical Extension Machine is an effective, proven solution for patients who suffer from neck pain and/or headaches. Because the cervical muscle must continually support the weight of the head, headache and neck pain are common clinical complaints. These ailments often originate as a result of muscular weakness or traumatic injury. The MedX Cervical Extension Machine is highly reliable and specific for the quantification of isometric cervical extension strength testing and dynamic variable resistance training.
Jed was raised in Salt Lake City, UT. Growing up, he always showed strong interest in the medical profession. In junior high and high school, he volunteered at a number of hospitals in Salt Lake where he gained invaluable experience that later resulted in a job as a Certified Nursing Assistant. After time working in the nursing field, he went on to work as a Physical Therapy Tech where he discovered an even deeper passion for physical therapy. Jed attended Brigham Young University-Idaho for his undergraduate degree in Biology, and then completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) at Missouri State University. He’s currently an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, and loves helping his Patients return to pain-free living, and their normal routines and hobbies. When Jed is not in the clinic treating patients, he’s spending time with his family, and enjoys photography, boating, waterskiing, golfing, bowling, four-wheeling, and watching movies.
Jones’s candidacy comes at a time when far-right groups have had new clout in the national discussion: Some hate groups have ramped up recruitment on college campuses and, for a time, some far-right leaders imagined they had an ally in the White House in Stephen K. Bannon, who served as an adviser to President Trump before departing his post in August.

A graduate of Idaho State University’s 1995 Masters of Physical Therapy program, Paul has spent the last 18 years sharpening his skills as a therapist. Having practiced in hospitals (Pocatello, ID; Elko, NV; Bullhead City, AZ), a Worker’s Compensation specialty clinic (Tempe, AZ), and other sports medicine facilities have allowed for a broad exposure to the practice of physical therapy. His early passion for sports brought him from Southern California to Caldwell and the College of Idaho.

Following a full musculoskeletal assessment the physiotherapist will recommend an isometric spinal strength test, if appropriate. The spinal strength test involves being seated in the medical lumbar machine and having the lower half of your body immobilised by a pelvic and leg restraint mechanism. Restraining your lower body is one of the keys to the effectiveness of isolating the lumbar extensors so that they can be accurately strength tested and exercised.
Have you ever wondered why old injuries flare up so easily? One wrong slip, twist or fall can quickly aggravate an old wound. Wouldn’t it be nice to expect the unexpected and be stronger than before? Wouldn’t it be nice to have the lifestyle you desire, knowing that your body will not only endure daily activities, but flourish? Well, you can, and a great place to start is by building strong core muscles that stabilize the spine and pelvis. We have some new state of the art equipment that will help you do just that.
The foundation of our rehabilitation is the MedX medical spinal testing and rehabilitation machines. Rehabilitation providers around the world have experienced amazing results using the MedX lumbar and cervical extension machines. Medical evidence shows that 80% of chronic spinal pain is due to muscle weakness, which increases as damage to the spine worsens. Weakness of the spine can lead to many conditions such as herniated discs, facet syndrome, and degenerative joint disease. A strong healthy spine provides a strong foundation which helps prevent spinal compression and allows you to perform your normal daily activities and demands of employment pain free.

The patented Core 4-Way Neck is a bio-mechanically precise 4-way neck machine that trains the flexion and extension muscles of the neck to allow for improved range of motion. It both stretches and strengthens the cervical spinal muscles. This allows for decompression of the upper spine and promotes increased omni-directional strength and flexibility of the entire neck. The Core 4-Way Neck is based on the superior bio-technology of the MedX Medical Neck Extension machine now being used in spinal rehabilitation facilities around the world.
Super Stretch. Enhance your core flexibility with the super stretch system, providing a patented seven-stretch routine that helps to improve knee, spine, hip, elbow, shoulder and wrist movement in addition to promoting hamstring flexibility. As well, you can improve spinal decompression with the hanging stretch, placing you in the optimal position for active stretching.
Arthur Jones felt that if he could build a machine that could isolate the muscles of the low back he could efficiently strengthen the back and significantly reduce their back pain. He found to truly isolate the low back muscles he needed a way to "lock the pelvis" in order to "activate" the spine muscles. Arthur’s persistence paid off and after several years of research and dozens of prototypes MedX was born.
