Ryan was raised in the small town of Burley, ID. Having grown up in a family construction company, his father instilled in him the importance of a hard work ethic. This work ethic was applied not only to school but also sports. He had the privilege of being part of a state basketball champion team but unfortunately, he became sidelined due to a knee injury. From that injury he was introduced to physical therapy and got his first experience as to how beneficial conservative treatment can be. Since then he has furthered his passion for physical health and fitness by staying active in recreational weight lifting and competed in several bodybuilding competitions throughout the northwest. Since then he attended the College of Southern Idaho and Idaho State University where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Physical Education and completed his Doctorate of Physical (DPT) at the University of Jamestown in North Dakota in 2018. While attending the University of Jamestown he had the great opportunity to be a student physical therapist at two Rehab Authority clinics before he graduated. He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and is excited to further is knowledge from the neck and back experts here at Rehab Authority. When Ryan isn’t in the clinic cracking jokes and treating patients you can find him spending time at the local gym or exploring the amazing outdoors that Idaho has to offer.

This is not a good look for the Illinois Republican Party. It’s evidently too late for party officials to do anything except ask Jones to drop out, which he’s unlikely to do. “There is no room for Neo Nazis in American politics,” Gov. Bruce Rauner said Monday. Except there will be room for Jones on the GOP ballot. More bad news: The deadline passed for a primary election write-in candidate to register, though there is an opportunity for someone to run as a write-in or independent for the Nov. 6 general election. As for what to do in the primary, we hope Republican voters in the 3rd district are aware that Jones is a cretin and do not support him. The closer to zero votes he gets, the better.
Julia Nelson received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of North Dakota in 2016, after studying athletic training and psychology at UND as an undergraduate.  Julia’s particular areas of interest include orthopedics, sports medicine, manual therapy, pediatrics, vestibular rehabilitation, and neurological based injuries.  As an athlete herself, Julia understands and is committed to helping patients with sport’s injuries. Her grandparent’s farm near Viking has always been one of Julia’s favorite places.  Julia and her husband Wyatt are avid deer hunters and forever Minnesota Vikings fans.  Wyatt and Julia are expecting their first child in Nov. 2018.
Unique padded restraint system neutralizes shoulder, arm and chest muscles while isolating waistline muscles. Separate system of padded restraints effectively locks the pelvis and prevents the hip and gluteus muscles from assisting in rotation of the torso. Increases strength and flexibility at the core of the body, making it a favorite among golf pros looking to increase club head speed.
Ryan Buchholz is a full-time physical therapist who started at RehabAuthority in June. He is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and received his degree from his hometown at the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND in April of 2016. He decided to pursue PT when he was injured his senior year of track and was brought through rehabilitation by his soccer coach.

MedX allows you to increase or decrease the weight being used by 2 pounds, whereas traditional equipment only allows five to ten pound increments. Why this is important is based on two fundamental premises: 1) it is critical to fatigue the muscles within one to three minutes or four to eight repetitions, and 2) as a person gets stronger, the weights need to be increased to work the muscles more deeply each time. This is where the problem of large weight increments comes in. If you increase the weight too much, by five pounds or more, the muscle may fatigue sooner than the required one minute or four repetitions. Conversely, if you don’t add enough weight, because the increment is too large forcing you to keep it the same weight as the time before, you may perform too many repetitions and be on the machine longer than the three minute optimum time frame. That is why the small weight increment of two pounds that MedX offers is the most beneficial for effectively working your muscles.

Jones was born on January 1, 1948 in Beloit, Wisconsin. In 1969 he joined the army and served one year in Vietnam. He then attended the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater, where he majored in journalism and political science. While there, he was a member of Young Republicans, Young Americans for Freedom, Republicans for Wallace, and Republican National Committee.

The spine is subject to high mechanical stresses during daily life activities. Punctual forces prevailing at a single disk may be higher than 400kp. Without the support of the muscles, the spine can stand only forces of about 5kp. The spinal column is hence a rather instable part of the body and gets firm only due to the muscle corset. Physical rest weakens the spine and leads to a subtle “deconditioning”. Hence – especially for patients with chronic and refractory pain - strengthening of the back muscles is a pivotal therapeutic aim.
Brian was born and raised in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. After earning a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and athletic training from Southern Utah University, he completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2014. Immediately after graduation, Brian joined the staff at RehabAuthority in Nampa and has been the Rehab Director since 2016.
Cams on strength training equipment need to support the strength curves in the body. The cams on most equipment are incorrect in this regard. On the MedX Lumbar Extension machine, for example, the cam/strength curve ratio is 1.4 to 1. That means that a normal lumbar muscle should be 1.4 times stronger in the flexed position than in the extended position. For example, if we put 100 pounds on the machine, then at the beginning of the movement you would be pushing 100 pounds. As you moved through the full range of motion to the fully extended position, the cam would be moving so that the weight would continue to lighten so that at the end of the movement that 100 pounds would have smoothly lightened to 71.4 pounds. Each muscle has a different natural strength curve so each piece of equipment should have a different cam. For example, if you put 140 pounds on the Leg Extension machine it would start at 120 pounds in the fully flexed position, increase to 150 pounds within the first fifty degrees, and then it would decrease to less than 50 pounds in the fully extended position. Each machine needs to be properly calibrated and designed to accommodate the muscle group it is targeting.

Knowing that our staff like using their smartphones to communicate for work, I knew that I had to make sure that they were following HIPAA guidelines when doing so. We searched for apps that were providing this service and decided on MEDX to be our app to fulfill this need.  MEDX was chosen by our staff because of how easy it is to use and the features it contains. The staff was comfortable with the app because it was designed by professionals like themselves. As an administrator of the clinic, I felt comfortable with the admin portal and its permission controls. Further, being a multi unit practices with locations across Washington state, It has the ability to bridge our clinics together and communicate securely via the personal smartphone. This was an essential feature for our clinic. Overall, very impressive application, shores up a need, keeps our employees happy, and assures we are HIPAA-Compliant. Highly recommend MEDX as a mobile communication solution for healthcare.

Arthur Jones is the legendary founder and developer of Nautilus exercise equipment. He pioneered the concept of high intensity, joint specific strength training and was the first to develop machines dedicated to each area of the body. He proved, through exhaustive research, that it is the most effective way to get results in the shortest period of time. When he evaluated the back extension machine, he found it did not do an adequate job of strengthening the back muscles. In 1972 he began what was to be fourteen years of research and development with the goal of designing the first meaningful tools for testing spinal function, including strength, muscular endurance, and ranges of motion. In 1986, he founded the MedX Corporation and after years of development and testing, validated by independent research teams at the University of Florida, perfected the medical lumbar extension machine. He subsequently developed the cervical extension machine providing the medical community with the first tools capable of producing specific and accurate tests of functional ability, as well as the finest source of rehabilitative exercise. These machines have helped hundreds of thousands of people around the world eliminate their back and neck pain. Arthur Jones devoted his life to educating people about the proper way to exercise and designing equipment best suited to his training methods.

Yes. Since we have so many facilities, MEDX allows us to easily communicate with everyone on one secure platform so workflows have improved across the board -- especially for urgent messaging. Some of our providers only work certain days, so it helps because we can send them an urgent message through MEDX rather than a message through the EMR which providers are not always able to access immediately. With MEDX, they can receive these urgent messages instantly and then go to the EMR to enter notes of the urgent situation they just handled -- saving time and additional steps.

Jed was raised in Salt Lake City, UT. Growing up, he always showed strong interest in the medical profession. In junior high and high school, he volunteered at a number of hospitals in Salt Lake where he gained invaluable experience that later resulted in a job as a Certified Nursing Assistant. After time working in the nursing field, he went on to work as a Physical Therapy Tech where he discovered an even deeper passion for physical therapy. Jed attended Brigham Young University-Idaho for his undergraduate degree in Biology, and then completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) at Missouri State University. He’s currently an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, and loves helping his Patients return to pain-free living, and their normal routines and hobbies. When Jed is not in the clinic treating patients, he’s spending time with his family, and enjoys photography, boating, waterskiing, golfing, bowling, four-wheeling, and watching movies.
Provides resistance over a full range of isolated cervical motion, or over a selected limited range. Isometric testing may occur every 3° within a patient’s range of motion MedX software plots a strength curve to compare the patient’s strength and range of motion to established norms. Stored energy can be assessed and factored out at each angle tested.
Jones has been involved with at least half a dozen racist groups stretching back to the 1970s, according to the Anti-Defamation League, which has a page devoted to Jones on its website. From 2008 and 2011, Jones was known to have participated in events celebrating the birthday of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, the ADL page states. He was also among those who protested the 2009 opening of the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center in Skokie, Ill., according to Haaretz.
Alicia and her husband, Les, have 5 children, Jonathon, Isabella, Tyson, Josie, and Camdyn. The Family enjoys country living; meanwhile, Alicia continues to participate in league sports and running events. She also loves spending time with friends and family, and takes in as much of the great Minnesota outdoors as she can in above freezing temperatures!
I needed to tell just one sentence and diagnosis was established and then also confirmed by imaging techniques. Neither the orthopedic specialist nor the radiologist I had visited before, had identified the herniated disc. They told me to do some sports and that surgery would not help. Immediately after the surgery in the ATOS clinic, my symptoms disappeared and I was also pain free. Absolute number 1 address for spinal disc problems.

The core muscles, which include the muscles of the back and abdomen, support the spine and hips. When these muscles atrophy or suffer an injury, back pain often results. Strong core muscles protect the spine and hips, relieving and preventing pain. MedX designs and manufactures the only FDA-registered Medical Strengthening Device in America, and it is designed specifically to strengthen the lumbar and cervical regions.
Jones's ideas tried to move the public's notion of bodybuilding and strength-training exercise away from the Arnold Schwarzenegger school of training, which involved hours in the gym using free weights, to high intensity training. This involves short, single sets, with each set taken to the point of complete muscular failure with a frequency of once or at most twice a week with the intention to maximize muscular hypertrophy and strength increases. Famous individuals who trained under Jones's supervision include Casey Viator (who participated in the Colorado Experiment), Eddie Robinson (who worked with and participated in and trained under Jones's Nautilus leverage line, which is now Hammer Strength,[citation needed] and IFBB professional body builders [[Mike and Ray Mentzer ( both won the Mr. America IFBB and AAU respectively ),Sergio Oliva ( winner of every major bodybuilding contest and was also the only individual to win the Mr. Olympia over Arnold Schwartzenegger who placed 2cnd ) and Boyer Coe ( Mr. America, Mr.International,Mr.Universe etc.)

The low back muscles are usually under-developed after a back injury. Even people with no back pain can have a weak back, since those muscles aren't used during normal activity or exercise. The MedX isolates, evaluates, and strengthens the lumbar extensors like no other equipment or exercise can. Using MedX as little as once a week, many people double their lower back strength in just 10 weeks. With JMP and MedX you can say goodbye to back pain for good! Call us today for a free consultation to see if MedX is for you!
MedX reduces the friction of traditional equipment from 30% to 0 and 5% friction. This makes a big difference in the ‘positive’ and ‘negative’ phases of resistance–when you push the weight up, and when you let it back down again.  If you had 100 pounds on a machine with 2% friction, you would be pushing 102 pounds during the positive phase of the movement and resisting 98 pounds during the negative phase. This is a four pound difference between pushing the weight up and letting it down. On traditional equipment, with 30% friction, that 100 pounds turns into you having to push 130 pounds during the positive phase and resisting 70 pounds during the negative phase, for a total difference of 60 pounds. That gives your muscles plenty of time to recover on the downswing, which severely impacts your ability to properly stimulate your muscles.
Physical therapy is a type of treatment you may need when health problems or injuries make it difficult to move around and perform everyday tasks. It helps you gain strength, improve flexibility and feel less pain. It also helps improve your fitness level and endurance. Physical therapy can help with recovery after surgeries as well. Physical therapy may be used alone or with other treatments. You do not need a referral from your doctor to attend physical therapy, unless your insurance requires it.
The Third Congressional District of Illinois has not been represented by a Republican since 1975, and few people, besides Mr. Jones, believe he has a chance of winning the general election in November. Daniel Lipinski, a Democrat, has represented the district in Congress since 2005, and before that it was represented by his father, Bill Lipinski, since 1993.
